We understand that the process of selling your trail is serious, sometimes complex and can bring quite a number of questions, here are some questions which past vendors have posed:

Buymytrail.com.au is a subsidiary of Australian Loans & Mortgages Pty Ltd, a mortgage manager who has actively purchased Trail Commission Portfolios Australia wide since 2010.

We usually pay usually the same day of settlement, if not the following day

Payment is by bank transfer to your nominated bank account.

To begin the process, we require at least 12 months of RCTIs in excel format, preferably 24 months. Identification, Broker agreements and funder agreements are also required at the Due Diligence stage.

Analysis can become complex depending on the number of income sources analysed, however the entire process from start to settlement usually takes 45 days

Yes! Selling a part of your book is possible and we have conducted partial book purchases in the past. Usually the funder will require the list of loans which are being sold.

There are a number of options to handle brokers as a part of the process. We have the ability to pay the brokers on an ongoing basis post sale, we can also provide a price to you to purchase their share of the loan as well. 

If you’re ceasing your business, we can offer them the opportunity to continue originating with our affiliate mortgage manager, Folio Mortgage & Finance, to provide them lending options through their white label products.

Yes, the information provided is handled internally by only those who conduct the analysis and assist with the purchase. We provide a Confidentiality Agreement before any information is requested so you understand how we operate.

We value a loan book by assessing the performance of the book with factors such as the book’s age, the book balance’s drop off, new origination and arrears exposure.

During the sale process, your client’s information is not used as it is not necessary. Post settlement, we only use the client’s information to notify them of the change of trail ownership and inform them of our contact details should they require any assistance with the management of their loan.
